Share a public link

Share a public link
A public link lets someone read your resume in their browser without a file or an account.
Turn it on
Each resume has its own public link, and it is off by default. Open the resume, choose Share and switch the link on. You need a confirmed email address first.
Turning the link off again stops it working straight away.
What people see
The link shows a separate published copy of your resume. Changes you make while editing do not appear to the public until you publish them, so you can work on a draft safely.
Public links are hidden from search engines, so your resume is only seen by people you give the link to.
Extra controls
- A QR code for the link, handy on a printed card or a slide.
- An expiry date, after which the link stops working.
- A password, so only people you tell can open it.
- A link preview, off unless you turn it on. When it is on, apps such as LinkedIn, WhatsApp and Slack show your name, headline and a picture card when someone pastes the link. The preview never shows your contact details or photo, and a link with a password never has one.
The CVSheets label
On the free plan, a public link shows a small "Made with CVSheets" label. Premium removes it. See Plans and prices.
Sharing safely
Anyone who has the link, and the password if you set one, can read the resume, so share it only with people you trust. If a link reaches the wrong person, switch it off, or set an expiry date for next time.
Need a file instead?
See Download formats. If the link does not behave as described, use the contact link at the bottom of this page.
