Acceptable use policy
CVSheets is for writing and sharing your own CV. This policy is part of our terms of service. It applies to everything you put in CVSheets, especially CVs you publish through a public link.
Do not use CVSheets to
- break the law, or help someone else break it,
- pretend to be someone else, or build a CV for a real person without their permission,
- publish other people's personal data without their permission,
- publish content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit or violent, or that encourages self-harm or terrorism,
- publish content that infringes someone else's copyright, trade mark or other rights,
- advertise, send spam or use public links to promote anything other than yourself as a candidate,
- spread malware or link to phishing or scam pages,
- defraud an employer or anyone else, for example with a CV designed to deceive.
Keep the service safe
- Do not try to get into accounts or data that are not yours.
- Do not probe, scan or test our systems for weaknesses, except under our security policy.
- Do not overload the service, or use bots, scripts or scraping to use it or copy it.
- Do not get around plan limits, AI allowances, rate limits, bot checks or suspensions.
- Do not try to make the AI features ignore their instructions, reveal how they work or produce harmful content.
- Do not resell or share access to CVSheets, or use it to build a competing service.
- One account per person. Do not create accounts to claim referral rewards or refunds more than once.
What we do if the rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may:
- turn off a public link,
- remove the content concerned,
- limit some features,
- suspend or close the account.
We act in proportion to the problem. Unless the law or someone's safety stops us, we tell you what we did, why, and how to ask us to look again. You can ask through the contact form or by replying to our email, and a person will review it.
Reporting a problem
If you see a public link that breaks these rules, tell us. See our content policy for how.
