Billing and refund terms

These terms apply when you buy Premium. They are part of our terms of service.

Paddle is the seller

Premium is sold by our reseller, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), which is the merchant of record for every order. That means:

  • your purchase contract is with Paddle, under Paddle's buyer terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms),
  • Paddle takes the payment, handles card details, charges the right VAT or sales tax for where you live and sends your receipt and invoice,
  • your bank statement shows Paddle, not CVSheets.

We provide Premium to you and are responsible for the service itself. Paddle's terms and these terms both apply; where they differ about payment, Paddle's terms win. Nothing here reduces your legal rights.

The plans

Plan Price in the UK How it works
Free £0 1 CV with 3 saved copies and plain-text download. No time limit.
Premium monthly £7.99 a month Renews every month until you cancel.
Premium annual £59 a year Renews every year until you cancel.
Job-hunt pass £9.99 once Premium for 30 days. One payment, no renewal.

All prices include VAT. Prices in other countries are shown at checkout in your local currency, including any local tax. What Premium includes is on the pricing page. AI actions in Premium have a monthly fair-use allowance.

There is no free trial of Premium: the free plan is the trial. You can buy a pass only when you have no subscription. If you buy a second pass while one is running, the new 30 days start when the first pass ends.

Renewal and reminders

Monthly and annual plans renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price you agreed, until you cancel. We email you before every renewal: 3 days before a monthly renewal and 7 days before an annual one. The email says the date and the amount. A pass never renews; we email you 3 days before it ends.

Cancelling

Open Plan & billing in your account, choose Cancel subscription and confirm. That is all. Premium stays on until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. Until then you can change your mind and undo the cancellation on the same page.

When Premium ends, your account moves to the free plan. Your CVs are not deleted, and you can still open them and download them as plain text. Free plan limits apply to new CVs and saved copies, and Premium designs, downloads and AI actions lock again.

Deleting your account cancels your subscription straight away.

The 14-day refund

If you are not happy, you can have your money back within 14 days of a payment. We do not ask why.

  • Open Plan & billing and choose Request a refund. You confirm with your password or passkey.
  • It works for a payment made in the last 14 days on your current subscription or a pass that is still running, including a renewal payment.
  • Premium stops straight away and your account moves to the free plan. A refunded subscription ends.
  • Paddle may check a refund before it approves it. Once approved, the money goes back to the card or account you paid with, in the currency you paid in. It usually arrives within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank.
  • You can use the 14-day refund once in any 12 months. The limit follows your Paddle customer account, so it also applies after you delete and recreate an account.

If you need a refund in another situation, contact us and we will look at it fairly.

If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you have a legal right to cancel a purchase within 14 days, and, for an annual plan, within 14 days after each yearly renewal. Premium starts straight away because you ask for it at checkout. If you cancel under this legal right after using Premium, you are refunded your payment less the value of what you used, worked out by the number of days you had Premium out of the period you paid for. This right does not depend on our 14-day refund: you can use it even if you have already had that refund in the last 12 months. Our 14-day refund above is usually better for you, because it gives your whole payment back. To use your legal right when the 14-day refund is not available, contact us or Paddle within the 14 days.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Paddle tries again and we email you. Premium stays on for 3 days so you can update your payment method, which you can do from Plan & billing. If the payment still fails after 3 days, Premium pauses. Your CVs are safe, and Premium comes back as soon as the payment goes through.

Switching plans

You can move from monthly to annual at any time. You pay the difference straight away, adjusted for the time left on your monthly plan.

Price changes

A price change applies to new purchases. Your subscription keeps the price you agreed. If we ever need to change the price of an existing subscription, we will email you at least 30 days before it applies, the new price will only apply from a renewal after that, and you can cancel before it does.

Discounts and referrals

A discount applies only as described when it is offered. Invitations from friends follow the referral terms.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a payment with your bank, Premium paid for by that payment stops while the dispute is open. If the dispute is decided in our favour, Premium comes back. Please contact us first: a refund is faster.
